Take A Guatape Colombia Tour With Photos

One of the top day trips to take from Medellin is to visit Guatepe Village. 

Guatepe is called the Switzerland of Colombia and definitely worth a visit.

It’s colorful, quaint and totally walkable.

Every street has a story drawn into it about the history of the village.

The Malecon is one of my favorite spots. Walking along the waterfront with all the vendors and fun activities and music is one of the highlights for sure.

Eating local food made fresh in front of you by the various street vendors.

Colombia has a law that you are permitted to drink on the streets. So you can get yummy fresh Colombian alcoholic drinks and enjoy walking around with them.

The center looks like a town in Europe. Switzerland, Austria whatever place you like to think, it’s just precious.

Take a ride in a mini-Chiva. This is their version of a tuk tuk, Colombian style. In other words, it’s their taxi service. You can take a taxi as well, but these by far more fun.
