When we are all excited about living in a new and amazing place, we tend to forget about little things like, how close is the nearest grocery store? Does the local cable company have availability in your area? Is the water service permanent or has set schedules? How about the ingredients for your favorite food? How easy is it to get what you buy online? Etc.
These are simple things that you can do to have a much better experience when moving abroad. I wish I knew these when I was moving from my parent’s house and then again from Costa Rica to Guatemala.
