Where to Stay in Perth

Sunny Perth has some of the best selections of hotels in Western Australia. If you’re gearing up for a vacation this season, better check out these great hotels.

Crown Metropol Perth Hotel

Crown Perth is a luxury hotel located on the banks of the Swan River in Burswood. It is near major airports, and only  a few minutes away from the city’s business district. With its prime location and premium accommodations, this hotel is highly recommended for leisure and business travelers. Crown Perth offers unmatched views of the Perth skyline and Swan River. Though rooms are a little pricey, the amenities (such as a spa, 24-hour casino, and fitness center) and luxurious ambiance makes your stay here all worth it.

Hyatt Regency Perth

The Hyatt Regency hotel line is known around the world for its excellent hotels. And its Perth branch is no exception. Hyatt Regency Perth is a 5-star hotel in Adelaide Terrace. It lies in close proximity to Perth’s business district, as well as the Swan River, Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Ground and various shopping establishments. And unlike other luxury hotels, the Hyatt Regency is cheaper; it also offers package deals and discounts on a regular basis. All guestrooms have free Wi-Fi.

Rydges Perth

Situated right in the heart of Perth’s central business district, Rydges is the hotel for people who want to be close to the action. The West End entertainment area is located right next to the hotel; theater lovers will also be pleased to know that His Majesty’s Theatre, the sole remaining Edwardian theatre in Australia and home of the WA Opera, is conveniently located across the street. Rooms are quite on the small side compared to those in other luxury hotels, but they are still spacious enough for small families with children.

Brownlea Holiday Apartments

For backpackers and budget travelers who don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on unnecessary hotel fees and amenities, the Brownlea Holiday Apartments on 166 Palmerston Street is a great option. The rooms have all the amenities that most luxury hotel rooms have (such as a fully-equipped kitchen and free Internet access), but at a quarter of the price. Facilities like a swimming pool, barbecue ranges, and under cover parking areas are also available. Brownlea Holiday Apartments is also near the city center, as well as train and bus stations.

Miss Maud Swedish Hotel

As the name suggests, Miss Maud Swedish Hotel has a quaint Swedish vibe to its interiors and lodgings that sets it apart from other hotels in Perth’s CBD. Rooms are spacious and clean; they also have piped-in music and are tastefully decorated in a unique European style. For foodies, the Miss Maud Restaurant (open seven days a week, with live entertainment every night) and its famous Smörgåsbord Breakfast is a must-try.

Bannister Suites

Bannister Suites is a relatively new establishment on Fremantle. All rooms are equipped with contemporary furnishings and have free internet access and cable TV. The hotel is near the famous Fremantle Cappuccino Strip, where cafes and restaurants abound.
