See Alligators in Action

If you want to see wild alligators in person than the summer is the best time to visit Florida. Alligator mating season starts in June and goes throughout July. During this time alligators are more active than any other time of year.

However, you won’t see any alligators during your trip to the beach. Instead, you’ll have to visit alligator habitats such as lakes and rivers.

It’s a thrill seeing one of these large beasts in person! However, be careful to maintain your distance and adhere to any rules you see up about staying safe around the alligators. Getting too close to an alligator, or feeding them, could cause your trip to end sooner than you’d like.
