Educating kids in a fun and inspiring manner takes too much effort that I don’t seem to have nor do I know how to do the stimulating on my own.
That’s why it’s always good to have an outlet, a place to take the kids and expand their mind. And even more importantly keep them occupied while parents learn new stuff too.
Things to do in Guatemala – Children’s Museum (Museo de los Ninos)
Cheesiness is allowed
The flag is fun, but when you find out it’s 100% lego, that makes it way more interesting
Interactive activities
Energy station – get the kids to burn some of it
Moon Jumping – only for toddlers.
Who is the next astronaut?
The kid’s museum has by far the best playground I’ve seen anywhere. So much so, I’m tempted to come just for the the playground.
Learning about the human body
Cuteness alert – this is by far the cutest exhibit in the museum. Shopping at a supermarket. My baby took it so seriously and everything is so miniature, it was great fun.
Learning about geology and earthquakes
Making paper station – this was one of the most educational exhibits and also one of the longer ones. But they really learned how to make paper.
Electrifying – learning about electricity is really fun
Bubble mania
Mini Bubble mania

Great post Marina! Very nice looking museum, I especially like the moon jumping (not sure if the boy likes it though…)

You guys always look like you are having so much fun! I love the images of your children enveloped in giant bubbles, though honestly, all of your suggestions sound fabulous!

I love the human body exhibit that looks like a giant game of Operation. I would want to play that myself!
