You might end up in Mystic because it has some of the greatest family hotels in Connecticut. If so, we highly recommend taking a visit to the Mystic Seaport Museum, where you can learn more about the town’s long-standing nautical tradition.
Visitors are welcome to take a trip back in time by boarding rebuilt ships and touring old shipyards. Additionally, their cutting-edge exhibits complement these first-hand encounters. After that, get a bite to eat or go shopping for some amazing mementos.
Families with kids of all ages will enjoy this relaxing day-long tour.
Ocean Beach Park – New London
Ocean Beach Park offers much more than simply sand and waves, which is what makes it one of the greatest family beaches in Connecticut.
Numerous fun activities are available, such as mini-golf, water slides in the pool, and amusement rides. Therefore, this is the place to go if you’re seeking extras like free family-friendly beach activities.
Eat at Denny’s, the wonderful Boardwalk Galley or the Sandbar Café instead, or bring a picnic.
It Adventure Ropes Course – New Haven
A visit to It Adventure Ropes Course, where thrills come at a constant pace for active kids, can be a part of your family vacation in Connecticut.
Young people who enjoy adventurous activities can burn off some steam on the four-level ropes course, bungee jumping, rock climbing, and other activities. While this safe, regulated atmosphere is undoubtedly thrilling, it also develops confidence and character.

Children and adults alike find it intriguing to study the museum’s extensive collection of items and information relating to submarines. Families seeking to improve their submarine trip can also take advantage of scavenger hunts and self-guided tours.
Foxwood HighFlyer Zipline – Mashantucket
A trip to one of the favorite family resorts in Connecticut, Foxwoods, wouldn’t be complete without an adrenaline ride on their Highflyer Zipline from the top of Fox Tower.
Fly 33 floors in the air, then finish the experience at the Pequot Museum.
Unbelievably, there is no upper age limit for riding. The sole limitation for thrill seekers is weight.
Coming on vacation and spending it listening to the kids complain is the last thing you want to do. This is a surefire way to prevent it, though. Both kids and adults will have a great time participating in the aforementioned activities. So, enjoy your time in Connecticut!
