7 Pieces of Essential Travel Gear

1. Credit Cards and Cash

As often as not, when you’re out and about, you’ll be making some purchases. Even if you don’t expect to spend money when you’re out, it’s a good idea to have some funds available in case you run into something that you want money for.

2. Registration, Insurance and License

If you’ll be driving your car, you are legally required to bring your registration, insurance, and license with you. Your driver’s license may also be necessary if you want to buy alcohol. To play it safe, it’s best to always to carry these cards with you when you leave the house.

3. Your Phone

Most people can’t imagine leaving the house without their smartphone. Your smartphone isn’t just a connection to the world; it’s also a safety mechanism if your car breaks down or you find yourself in trouble. It’s best always to take your phone with you.

4. Hand Sanitizer

Germs are everywhere, and increasingly, exposure to unknown germs can be dangerous. Hand sanitizer is the perfect way to eliminate germs as you go.

Carry a small sanitizer with you and use it whenever you touch things that lots of other people touch. Sanitizer can also be useful for wiping down a shopping cart.

5. Water

Most of us don’t drink enough water. One of the best ways to increase our consumption is to carry water with us when we go places.

It can be a lot easier to remind yourself to take sips of water when you’re in your car. You may get thirsty when you’re out and about, so having a water bottle handy is a good idea.

6. Acid Reducer

If you’re like many people, stomach upset can come unexpectedly. If you eat while you’re out, it may be even more likely. It’s great to carry a couple of tabs of acid reducer with you so that you can settle your stomach whenever you need to.

7. Medications

If there are any medications that you take regularly enough that being out of the house may interfere dangerously with your medication schedule, you should have some of those medications with you wherever you go. That way, if you want to stay out later, you won’t have to go home just because of your medications.

How to Bring Essential Travel Gear With You

Purses and Bags

The standard way to carry something if you can’t fit in your pockets is carrying a purse or a bag. You can find a great backpack, messenger bag, or fanny pack in a variety of sizes that work well for either gender.

Card Wallet

If you don’t want to bring your whole bag with you every time you go out, but it’s inconvenient to carry your wallet by yourself, consider investing in a card wallet. It’s the perfect thing to carry your credit cards, cash, phone, and any other very essential stuff that you need to bring with you. Make sure that it has a couple of compartments so you can also bring hand sanitizer, medications, etc.

Make It Easy to Bring Your Essential Travel Gear with You.

It’s best to keep all of your essentials together in one place, so it is easy to bring them with you. If you decided that it’s important to have something with you on-the-go, don’t compromise just because you don’t feel like carrying something. Choose tools to help you take what you need to be safe and comfortable.
