What’s more creative than a chef in the finest kitchen? A mixologist. Tasting different cocktail mixtures and concoctions is one of my absolute favorite things to do when visiting different restaurants in Georgia. And whenever we travel internationally, or even locally, we often order the cocktail that is unique to the location, or restaurant. When we visited Ocean Prime, I dug right into their cocktail menu. But little did I know it was going to be more of a show and experience rather than just a cool drink. And that deserves a whole post, today we are talking about ocean prime drinks, from cocktails like a black orchid to berries and bubbles.

Ocean Prime Drinks
Berries and Bubbles
The only reason I ordered this drink was because I love anything that has bubbles in it. Yet the last thing I expected was a full production that followed the service of it.
The thing is, this amazing drink is made with liquid nitrogen. That’s right! They bring out the berries and the mix in one container and then add in the liquid nitrogen on top of it which makes it bubble, plus making it super cold and refreshing. However, this also brings out the extra sweetness of the berries and the richness of the alcohol.
Black Orchid Martini
The drink comes with a huge ice cube that holds an edible black orchid inside.
The flower is said to have mystic powers. If you eat it, even if it’s only a small portion of it, it brings you good luck. So you can do one of three things:
1. Truly enjoy the drink, and take your time so that the ice cube melts
2. Finish the drink quickly, have a refill by using the same ice cube
3. Finish the drink and don’t allow the waitress to take it away, and let the ice cube totally melt
The last thing you want to do is not have a bite of the flower to get some good luck. We can all use some of that.
This is a great drink to go with your meal. It’s light, refreshing and homemade. I’m not a fan of gimlets, but this was just right.
Keeping up with our South-of-the-Border neighbors, we had to have a taste of the fine tequilas and unique blend that Ocean Prime is known for. They include elder flower grapefruit and agave nectar. Need I say more?
