– Staten Island hosts numerous museums, beaches, and historic landmarks. Additionally, another free attraction in NYC is a ride on the Staten Island Ferry
– Baseball aficionados can partake in a Mets game at Citi Field in the Queens. Tennis fans are sure to enjoy the US Open, which is hosted in this borough. Color is aplenty at the Queens Botanical Garden
– Another great spot to visit in Queens is East Elmhurst.

With so many things to see, it would be best that you make an itinerary and divide the sightseeing according to their proximity.

Bear in mind that throughout New York City you will find dining at its finest, from small independent restaurants to 4 and 5-star eateries. There’s no chance you’ll ever be hungry.

Upstate NY

Often “left off the table” in discussions about vacationing in New York, the upstate portion of this state is home to some of the most beautiful scenery the United States has to offer. While planning your trip to NYC, consider the option of setting aside a few days for the northern portions of the state.

Trying to narrow down which communities should be visited is a disservice to the reader. With the bevy of options awaiting each New York visitor; including Saratoga Springs, Ithaca, Lake Placid, and Sleepy Hollow, you can be certain that all of your senses will be awakened to the New York way of life.

It’s not just seeing New York City that should be on your agenda. Squeeze in some adventure time by visiting the above-mentioned places outside the Big Apple.
