Thailand is one of the top choices among honeymooners and young couples, and rightly so. It is probably one of the rarest destinations in the world that has everything from exotic islands, think rain forests to clear marine water and white sandy beaches, to party and pubs to shopping – And all that at an unbelievably pocket-friendly price. This happens only in Thailand, If you are planning a honeymoon or even a romantic getaway, book yourself a trip to Thailand and head straight to Phuket. How to plan a Honeymoon in Phuket that allows you to make the most out of your time and budget.Take a look at my tips on Honeymoon in Phuket.
Phuket is the largest island in the country and has a little bit of everything Thai. Culture, forests, adventures, swimming, island hopping, you name it, and Phuket has it. Phuket is not only a favorite among couples but also a hit among families with kids and solo travelers alike for the beauty and vibrancy of its aura. This also means that it might get a tad bit annoying for a couple looking for seclusion if they end up at a very touristy place. Therefore, the tips here solely focus on enhancing your honeymooning experience in Phuket and enjoying the most of it.
Plan around Your Budget
The worst thing that you can do on your honeymoon is to focus more on your money and less on your spouse and that generally happens when you are traveling to expensive exotic destinations. Fortunately, Phuket allows you a lot of room to play around with your budget. We suggest that you plan and watch out for some cheap deals online. You can even grab a suite at a 5-star hotel for peanuts if you are planning and be making your reservations timely. Split your finances wisely between, excursions, accommodations, meals, and logistics. If budget is not too much of a deal for you, then head straight to the next step and look for the most exquisite resort.
Hostels, hotels, motels, villas, resorts and what not? You can find everything in Phuket. However, the idea of sleeping in separate bunk beds in a room with four other people is not very appealing for a honeymoon or a private holiday so we will instead dump those options here. As a honeymooner, try to get a private space for yourself on a beachfront. You can find some 3-star budget resorts to exotic 5-star resorts along the beach.
The resorts at Kata and Karon Beaches are a tad bit cheaper compared to the touristy Patong. Kata and Karon are great options if you want a clean and secluded beach with less crowd. Patong, on the other hand, is very crowded but at walking distance to mist eateries and attractions, we recommend that you rent a scooty to move around if you choose to stay at Karon or Kata beaches.
Trips and Excursions
If you do not have time and budget constraints, we will strongly recommend that spend on every excursion that you can find in Phuket. Spend a night or two at Koh Phi Phi and hop around all the beautiful islands with your partner. However, if you have time and budget constraints then filter out what fits best according to your pocket and personal preferences. You might want to check out online Phuket to different research options and plan your trips so that you can save yourself from the hassle beforehand.
