Puerto Vallarta, México
As a travel destination, Mexico never gets boring. Today, I thought of recommending a very special place on the Western Mexican coast.
Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful port-town, filled with opportunities for romantic experiences. Walking down the main beach boardwalk, you will enjoy the view of the ocean, port, and its energetic people.
For those in love, Puerto Vallarta has an entire Romantic Zone (Zona Romantica). It is the most beautiful quarter of the town, built in colonial style and filled with scenic restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.
Apart from chilling at the beach, during Puerto Vallarta vacation you can do culture tours, go snorkeling, and scuba diving.
A trip to nearby Marietas islands could be exciting as well. There, you can swim at a beach within a cavern or see Humpback whales in the ocean.
Ontario, Canada
Didn’t think about Canada as a romantic destination? Think again. Fall in Canada is absolutely stunning, with all the colorful forests and the beautiful countryside. If you and your better half enjoy staying in nature, I can’t think of a better place to go.
A particularly interesting destination is the so-called Tail of the Dragon, near Ontario. The name of this road comes from the dangerous and narrow twists and turns along the highway. So, driving there on a motorcycle or in a car could give you two a particularly exciting experience.
The nature around Ontario is so beautiful, that it inspired the best Canadian artists. During the 1920s, the famous Group of Seven artists made dozens of amazing paintings of the region.
Costa Rica
If Canada is too cold for you, we have a warmer suggestion.
Costa Rica is a famous romantic destination, also known for eco-friendly tourism. Going to Costa Rica, you will be able to swim in two oceans – the Atlantic and the Pacific.
Also, the exuberant vegetation, active volcanoes, and remarkable landscapes make Costa Rica a one-of-a-kind destination.
Bliss out with your partner in luxurious spa centers, enjoy mineral volcanic massages or enjoy the vibrant nightlife.
There are so many activities you can experience in Costa Rica, that you will find it hard to choose. You can go and swim with the dolphins, travel to Monteverde, or visit the San Jose jade and gold museum.
Dubai
Just like love, Dubai came out of nowhere against all odds. Back in 1971., it was nothing but a little desert town, living from fishing. In only a few decades, it became one of the richest and shiniest cities in the Arabian desert.
Probably the most famous attraction in Dubai is Burj Al Arab, one of the most luxurious and most expensive hotels in the world.
Actually, Dubai is one of the most luxurious destinations in the world. Couples usually enjoy riding camels and enjoying peaceful desert sunsets.
Besides, the food and drinks in Dubai are absolutely wonderful. There are numerous restaurants, clubs, and bars where you can taste the best of Arabic cuisine and sip cocktails.
When in Dubai, you can always hop in a plane and go to the nearby Maldives to chill out on its white-sanded beaches.
Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, US
Did you ever wonder where presidents and celebrities go for a vacation? Usually, they pick less known but delightful places that aren’t too far away.
And that is the description of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, two little islands outside of the coast of Massachusetts. When looking at the tropical color of the water, steep windy cliffs, and wide sandy beaches, one forgets that it is only a couple of hours’ ride from New York.
It is best to go to these two wonderful islands somewhere between May and September. In that period, you can enjoy private beaches, seafood, and some of the best wines on the East Coast.
Fiji
According to surveys, more than 90% of Fijians think they are happy. And who wouldn’t want to spend a honeymoon in an officially happy country?
And the locals in Fiji aren’t only joyous. They are also very hospitable and open towards different cultures.
If you think about it, who wouldn’t be happy in Fiji? It is a beautiful island country in the southern Pacific. The climate is warm and tasty vegetables and fruits are available all year long. And, the beauty of its tropical beaches and jewel-toned waters is impossible to describe.
As for accommodation, the offer is extremely diverse. You can choose anything, from small eco-huts to luxurious resorts.
To avoid hurricane season, it is best to visit Fiji in April and May.
