There are many ways to get to this beach, by bus, car, and train, but the best way to get to Folkestone Beach is by train, just take a train to Folkestone Central station. The beach is just a short walk from the station through the town, like 4 min walk from the station.
From London to Folkestone is only 50-55min by train, it’s a pretty fast ride.
A good draw about Folkestone Beach is the fact it’s really accessible since it’s located very close to the road, if you decide to go by car the nearest parking in Folkestone Beach is located on the beach making it really comfortable.
Activities in Folkestone Beach
Since it’s a virgin beach, the activities on Folkestone Beach include sunbathing, relaxing on the beach, and other beach-related activities. Most of the other activities take place in the town, where you can head to the Lower Leas Coastal Park or Folkestone Harbour Arm, or The Leas Promenade.
Can you BBQ on Folkestone Beach?
In 2020 BBQ was banned in the Lower Leas Coastal Park, but there is no information about doing a BBQ right on Folkestone Beach. This beach is natural and clean, so, I would avoid doing that. Despite that, there are designated areas where you can BQQ on the Lower Leas Coastal Park.
