Bike Rental Abroad: Finding the Right Bikes your Family Adventures

If you have followed my blog for a while, you might already know that I have two adventurous sons. That’s why whenever we travel, I always look for activities that offer a combination of allowing us to learn as much as possible about the place we visited and providing my boys with something exciting that will keep them interested. Here you figure out which are your family’s ideal bikes so that when you travel you can ask what you need from the bike rental service.

One of the activities that are always successful is bike tours. We have enjoyed biking along with places such as NYC, Philadelphia, and Vermont. We have also done some off-road biking in Caye Caulker Belize and Costa Rica. These were all amazing adventures that allowed us to have tons of fun and learn along the way.

My husband is also a bike lover, he has even participated in a few local bike races in Guatemala.

Biking is such a healthy and Eco-friendly activity that I don’t really know why we tend to leave it only for the times when we travel. My sons do have bikes but they are the generic kind and are only really used for playing around the residential area where we live.

You can find some fun kids dirt bikes for sale as well, which can make the rental cheaper if you plan on staying in one place for a longer period of time.

Recently I got the idea of making it something we can all do as a family during the weekends or their vacations and they seemed quite excited about it. After some research, I decided that the right kind for us are road bikes instead of mountain ones which seem to be more useful for everyday use.

Who knows, maybe when they grow they will learn not to be so dependent on cars.

It as hard to narrow down the search, but I managed to narrow it down to three that would be the best road bikes for us.

Top Bike Rental Bikes

1. Schwinn Phocus 1600 – The frame is made of aluminum, making it lighter and more resistant. My two sons will be able to enjoy them for a long time.

2. Merax Finiss Aluminum Road Bike – It is also made of aluminum with the difference that it comes with 21 speeds. Can you imagine how much fun that could be?

3- Vilano Hybrid Flat Bar Commuter – This one is a mixture between a road bike and a mountain bike. The main difference is in the handle, it is not curved as in most road bikes so it is easiest to control for those of us who aren’t used to it.

So far these have been some of my favorite. Aside from all of the technical specifications that make them great, I like how stylish they look.
