The West Edmonton Mall is one of the largest malls in North America and it has something for everyone. You can find stores like Abercrombie & Fitch, Apple, Zara, and more. There is also a waterpark, amusement park, and skating rink inside the mall.
Whyte Avenue is a great place to go for shopping, dining, and entertainment. You can find many unique shops here as well as popular chain restaurants like The Keg and Earls. If you’re looking for something to do in the evening, Whyte Avenue is the place to be.
Elk Island National Park is a great place to go for a nature hike, enjoy some wildlife spotting, or have a picnic. The park is home to bison, elk, deer, moose, and more. If you’re visiting Edmonton in the wintertime then Elk Island National Park is a great place to go for a snowshoe hike.
Additionally, there are a lot of historical sites to see in Edmonton like the Alberta Legislature Building and Fort Edmonton Park.
How Much It Costs to Stay There
The cost of staying in Edmonton varies greatly depending on what time of year you visit and where you stay. During the winter months, it is typically more expensive to stay in the city than during the summer when demand for hotels increases. Additionally, downtown Edmonton is more expensive than the suburbs.
Generally, you can expect to pay around $100-$10 per night for a single hotel room in Edmonton. Couples can expect to spend closer to $200 on average per night. However, there are some cheaper options available if you’re willing to stay outside of downtown or during the offseason. Hostels and camping can be had for as little as $25 per night while furnished apartments start at around $600 per month.
