This is a cute town located right next to the Macal River. It is just 70 miles west from Belize’s capital city. Its population is a mixture of Creole, Mestizo, Lebanese, Chinese, Mennonite, Maya and other cultures.

The whole town is packed with hotels, shops and restaurants. The beauty of this country is that English is spoken as well as Spanish.

Some of the most popular activities of the area are canoeing in the Macal River, hiking to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins and if you are there on a Saturday make sure to check the local market.
