Bimini is an island in the Bahamas, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, it has been known as “the sportfishing capital of the world”, and many people visit Bimini each year, and is well known as Hemingway’s favorite retreat. It has some of the most beautiful crystal water with white sand beaches in the area, and since it’s located close to the Florida coast it’s one of the best options for a sunny beach getaway, a popular place for everyone looking for a relaxing vacation and in today’s post I’m going to talk about charter a boat from Miami to Bimini, with things to do there and a lot of useful information!

Bimini, which means “two islands” in the Lucayan language, is home to many landmarks, but its world is known for sportfishing and an amazing tourist spot with partying nightlife, offering white sanded beaches with clear and spotless water, not only that it’s an amazing place for snorkeling and scuba diving, it has much amazing coral reefs nearby.

Lucayans were the first inhabitants on the island.

Where is Bimini Located?

Bimini is located in the westernmost district of the Bahamas, only 80 kilometers east of Miami, and 210 kilometers to the west of Nassau. It’s one of the closest places in the Bahamas to the United States, that’s why it’s so popular among American tourists. You can get to Bimini from Miami in only 2 hours by boat, crossing the Gulf Stream and giving you amazing views of the area

What to Pack for Bimini from Miami?

I recommend you pack light and keep your luggage at a minimum, Bimini is not different from any other beach destination, and the weather and climate are similar to Miami, it can get cool at night but nothing to worry about. Your packing list will be the same, and the most important things to pack for Bimini is a swimsuit, sun blocker, insect repellent, a first aid kit, and a towel!
