If you’re planning to go to Portugal and have an Algarve golf holiday, then it’s a good idea first to figure out which golf course you want to go to. You should preferably go for one with 36 or more holes that also allows you to experience a variety of golf shots. It also has many serene pine trees. This golf course was established in 1972 and currently has three 18-hole golf courses: Laranjal Golf Course, Quinta do Lago North and Quinta do Lago South. It was designed by Ronald Fream, an American architect renowned for designing beautiful golf courses. It was established in 1992 and is considered one of the best-designed golf courses, not only in Portugal but also all of Europe. After he was done with Vale da Pinta, Fream teamed up with yet another great architect and major-winning golfer, Nick Price. Together, they designed Gramacho, which has 27 greens and 18 holes with lots of different tee boxes. You’re bound to enjoy the different challenges offered up by this golf course.

Quinta da Ria

This resort is located in the East Coast and has two golf courses: the Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima. Both of them have 18 holes and picturesque views. The resort is part of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, which is one of the most significant ecosystems in Portugal. It is just half hour’s drive from the Faro International Airport. The Quinta da Ria course is a favorite among golfers for the views while Quinta de Cima is loved for how difficult it is.

Morgado do Reguengo

It has two championship golf courses, both of which have 18 holes: The Alamos Golf Course and Alamos Golf Course. It also includes a practice course: the Academia de Golf do Morgado. The Alamos Golf Course is a short course and is often preferred to the Morgado, which has Scottish type bunkers and flat fairways. For those looking for one of the best golf destinations worldwide, the Alamos has some of the most beautiful views of the Monchique Mountains that you will ever experience.
