There is nothing more relaxing than a weekend spent camping outside. Whether at a recreation area, a beach, or a national park, camping with your family is a great way to spend your weekend. In the United States, there are a ton of great places for you to pitch a tent. In this article, we have compiled 5 of our favorite places to go camping. Best Camping Spots in the United States

Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area, Arizona 

Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area in Arizona has something for everybody. It has spots for you to camp out in RVs or tents. It has a lake where you can go boating or fishing, and it has trails that are great for walking! The lake consists of 150 acres, so there is plenty of room for everyone! There is a 1.5 -mile walking trail along the west and south sides of the lake. Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area is a great place to pitch a tent with the whole family

Flamenco Beach in Culebra, Puerto Rico

This is possibly the prettiest spot in our hiking camping guide. This beautiful award-winning beach in Puerto Rico has shallow waters, white sand, and plenty of swimming areas and diving sites. It has won a Trip Advisor traveler’s choice award each of the last four years. Fun activities on the beach include scuba and snorkeling, sunbathing, and walking, and hiking. Flamenco Beach is a great place to relax with your family or by yourself.

Tent

The Vineyards Campground and Cabins, Texas

Everything is bigger in Texas, and this campground is no exception. You can stay in an RV or a cabin as you relax on the shores of Grapevine Lake. This giant campground has sites for basketball, volleyball, fishing, horseshoes, kayaks and more! This is one of my personal favorite spots to pitch a tent in the U.S. It also has nature trails for those looking for a hiking camping guide. The Vineyards Campground and Cabins have fun for everyone.

The Adirondack Park, New York

The Adirondack Park in New York is a unique site on our list! Surrounded by the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains, this park includes year-round communities. This means there are even more attractions and things to do! These activities include breweries and wineries, campgrounds, hiking trails, kayaking, and scenic drives. The Adirondack Park in New York is a great way to escape your regular life without going out into the wilderness alone.

Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

Glacier Bay National Park has something for everybody. Whether you want to see glaciers, temperate rain forests, or wild coastlines, you can find them all at Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. Glacier Bay National Park is a great place for the family to have a unique camping experience like no other.

If you like water activities, I would recommend Flamenco Beach or Fool Hollow Lake. If you want a relaxing getaway weekend, go to the Vineyards Campground and Cabins.
