Traveling brings out a sense of adventure that many don’t get in their day to day lives. If you want an adrenaline rush during your next trip, check out these 5 adventure activities!Five adventure activities that you can enjoy while traveling. In this article you will find my top adventure activities.

Some people seem to have a natural thirst for adventure, a desire to explore the world and experience all they can. Society’s term for them is ‘adrenaline junkies,’ and the name seems to fit.
There’s nothing wrong with living for the thrills, and a healthy sense of adventure can brighten up any vacation. The question is, where do you start? What adventure activities are there to do
The answer is a lot of things, and it basically just depends on season and area. Though you may want to do some research on your own, we’ll get you started with a list of five of them.
1. Surfing
If you’re planning on heading to the coasts, particularly in the Spring or Summer, surfing is an activity you might want to consider. The great thing about surfing is that all it requires is a coast and a board, neither of which is hard to find.
There are a lot of places in the world where surfing is huge, from California to Hawaii, to the surfing Mecca in Australia. Of course, nobody can just pick up an extreme sport and expect to be good at it, so there are plenty of places that teach surfing.
You might want to try Bodhi Del Mar’s Surf Camp located in sunny Costa Rica. It’s a great place to get out of the country for a while, learn surfing and see abundant wildlife, some of the most diverse in the world.
2. Caving
This next one’s a little specific, so it might not appeal to everyone. If you’re claustrophobic or afraid of the dark, stay away from this one. Also, if you’re not fond of creepy crawlies, don’t try this.
However, if you find a sense of privacy and comfort in small, dark places, caving might be for you. If you had an ant farm growing up, and react to a spider or ant in your house by watching it for a while instead of killing it, caving might be for you. If you go to the zoo, and the first thing you want to see is the nocturnal exhibit, then caving might be for you.
The whole point of caving, or spelunking as some call it, is exploration and immersion. Observe the natural world to your heart’s content, but don’t touch anything or take anything.
You can find some great caves around the world, from India to Kuala Lumpur to Hungary.
3. Rafting
If you’re into water-sports, but don’t think surfing is right for you, you might want to try rafting. Whether you want a fast-paced trip or a more leisurely adventure, there’s a type of rafting for you.
Rafting can be found in a lot of different places. For example, there is great rafting in Denver – one such place is Clear Creek. Located just west of Denver, Clear Creek is a favorite spot for rafting. The site offers a variety of rafting options ranging from more gentle routes all the way to thrilling white-water courses for experts.
4. Repelling
Repelling is the practice of getting down a mountain using ropes and a harness. Starting at the top, one basically pushes off the mountain, descends a short distance, and then repeats until they are back at ground level.
The difference between repelling and mountain climbing is that repelling doesn’t require the strength to pull yourself up. Instead, you just have to let out rope to descend and try not to do too much at once.
Plus, most repelling equipment comes with safety gear, much like rock climbing. Even so, make sure you have a guide or expert with you when you try it.
5. Ice Sailing
This is a bit more of an odd one, but it sounds unbelievably cool. Imagine putting a large pair of ice skates on a sailboat the size of a bobsled and you have ice sailing
This sport is played in a multitude of places, from Michigan to Russia and beyond. Keep in mind, it will probably require a good deal of training, because this sport can be dangerous.
It is, however, affordable. The most expensive boats cost around $5,000, and the cheaper ones are a few hundred dollars. Many people even make their own.
