1. Lullymore Heritage Park – This is an attraction located on an island where kids can spend a day playing and having adventures. They offer attractions like: a train ride, a pet zoo, indoor and outdoor play areas gardens and much more.

2. Armagh Planetarium – If you are on the northern part of Ireland take a short detour to County Armagh. In here you will find a plave that offers a bit of action for your children. The planetarium offers interactive exhibits photos of space. They also have a few special events throughout the year so you might get lucky and get there right for a show or event.

3. Charles Fort – This is a great option for those looking for something historic yet fun. In here you are able to see how people lived during the Irish civil war and learn about the many battles that took place in and around the fort. It was built ever 200 years ago on County Cork. What kid doesn’t want to run around pretending they are in the middle of a battle?

4. Dalkey Castle and Heritage Center – In here you get the feel of being in a medieval village. There are even a few live shows during the day. It is a fun place where the whole family can learn about life back then, kids also get to play in a fun and satmosphere.

I have said this many times and will keep on repeating it, because it’s true, family vacations do not have to be expensive. There are package holiday deals that can make your life easier and your trip cheaper. So consider getting those on your next trip to Ireland.
