Tips for Choosing Luggage

I have had so many experiences with carrying around bags, backpacks and suitcases that were simply not working for me and made moving my stuff from one side to the other while traveling a lot more challenging than it should be. But with time I learned the kind that works for me, so now my travel luggage is perfect.

Here are my Tips for Choosing Luggage

Tips for Choosing Luggage

1. What do you want it for? – This is extremely important because if you want to go on a trip where you won’t be changing hotels a lot a stiff suitcase might be great. If you are going to a city with cobblestone streets having one with wheels might not the best idea.

Another thing to think about is the weight. If you are going to be switching hotels often, it is a better idea to have a small one that you can move on your own like a backpack or a suitcase with wheels.

2. Material – It is not just about the pretty pattern. It is also about it being sure that your stuff will be safe and that you won’t have to keep repurchasing more luggage every time you travel. So consider how durable the material is, is it waterproof? is it tear proof?

3. Guarantee – This is extremely important. Getting a suitcase or backpack from an international company with good customer service and that had a guarantee is extremely important.

That is because even the best brands make mistakes and yours might be the one to break. And having to claim your guarantee with a company that won’t return your emails for a week is not the most convenient thing while traveling.
