Top 7 Games You Can Play While Travelling

I Spy

I spy is a classic game that children of all ages can play. Whether you are traveling via plane or vehicle, this game works everywhere. All you have to do is proclaim “I spy with my little eye, something beginning with…” and mention the first letter of the object you have chosen. Allow your travel companions to guess what the object is. The person who guesses correctly gets their turn to play.

20 Questions

20 questions is the perfect travelers’ game, and you can make the difficulty level as easy as you like depending on the age of your fellow travelers. You must silently select a mystery object and then announce what category it is placed to your companions. Everyone can take turns to ask you Yes or No questions until they correctly guess what your object is. The person who guesses it right gets to go next.

Magnetic Board Games

Traveling makes it difficult to play board games. However, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Plane turbulence and bumpy car rides can’t stop you when you have a travel-sized magnetic board game. Travel scrabble is a great one because it gets everyone’s minds working. The word game wizards from UnscrambleWords.net suggest referring to online unscramblers to help you win if you get a difficult round of letters. There is also a travel monopoly, as long as you are prepared to remain traveling with the bitter loser who gets mad that they lost all their fake money. And finally, a deck of cards should always be on hand when you are traveling because it opens up a whole world of games that you can play with your friends or family.

The License Plate Game

The license plate game is a great game if you are traveling with kids as it can even be slightly educational. Get in a little geography lesson as you encourage your children to spot the license plates of different countries. If you are in America, then they can search for the license plates of different states. Truthfully, this game is just as fun for adults as it never fails to alleviate boredom.

Who Am I

Who am I is another old standby, as this game can entertain anyone for hours on end. As you can probably presume, one person has to decide who they are secretly – this can be a celebrity, TV or cartoon character, or anyone who your travel group would know. Much like 20 questions, your components can only ask Yes or No questions until they figure out who you are.

Mad Libs

Mad libs is not just any old card game, it’s been branded the world’s best word game. Seven-word cards must be dealt to each player. Then, shuffle all the sentence cards and place them in the middle of the group. Reveal the first sentence card by flipping over the card at the top of the deck and read the sentence aloud. Each player will then have to search through their word cards to find one that fills in the sentence. Each person takes a turn to read the sentence with the word they chose, followed by the group deciding which sentence was the best. Mad libs can be played for hours and lucky for us, there are travel mad libs you can buy to take on your travels.

Would You Rather

Would you rather is not for the faint-hearted. If you’re traveling among some creative minds, then this game is perfect for you. Create two different scenarios that no one would like to end up in and make your component have to choose between them. Don’t make it easy for them either; the goal is to ensure they wind up in a pickle!

We bet you are itching to start playing one of these games just by reading this list. Every single one of these options is fun and exciting and will keep all your travel companions cheerful and entertained. So, the next time you have to take a long drive, or need to sit through a tiring plane ride, make sure that you have a few of these fun and simple games to create a trip you’ll never forget.
