This is the one bar where happy hour starts at noon and guests are entitled to one free drink per day. Beer flows freely at no whatsoever cost during happy hour. After happy hour, the cocktails are buy two get one free and discount on shots. The bar is pretty laid back hence visitors can relax and mingle with other clientele. The staff is super friendly and delicious meals are normally served in the bar for the revelers. As the name suggests, the place is patronized with a huge number of backpackers and island hoppers.

The Monkey Island

Monkey Island literally the best place to visit in Kohrong Island. It is a simple bamboo and thatch bar, which is always jam packed with backpackers. Monkey Island houses 23 hand crafted beach front bungalows and a lively bar. The bungalows can fit up to five people and come with hammocks on the balconies. This breezy beach bar serves brunch and dinner. The cuisines are mainly Western, Cambodian and Thai specialties. Diving, snorkeling and kayaking are some of the activities that guests can enjoy near this bar.

The Nest Beach Club

Nest Beach Club features a private beach area, a bar and a small garden. The nearest airport from this bar is Sihanoukville International Airport just 22 km from the bar. The place is always packed with tourists who come there for the music, enjoy a drink by the beach and hang out with the locals. They have happy hour every evening and are known to host special parties few times in a year that draw huge crowds. There are hostel accommodations that are affordable and serve continental breakfast for the guests.

Island Boys

Most bars in the area close at around midnight but not the Island boys. It’s popular amongst the young backpackers who want to party late into the night. Those that seek accommodation at the attached bungalows receive free beer during their happy hour. Island boys offer two for one cocktail hour. If you are a backpacker or a wave catcher, consider staying in their private rooms or their dormitories. Local cuisines can also be found in the inhouse restaurant for the residents and walk-ins.

Bunna’s Place

If you want to interact with the locals, Bunna’s place is where you ought to be. It’s popularly known for their rowdy parties full of shirtless Cambodian men from all over the island. It is the closest thing to clubbing you can find in Kohrong and it never disappoints. The place typically opens in the evening around sunset with some soft music and gets louder and louder as the night progresses. Guests can partake in a variety of club games such as beer pong, flip a cup or even partake in a game of pool.
