Best South Carolina Towns for Newlyweds

Best South Carolina Towns

“The honeymoon stage” is what people refer to as the period of 6 months to a year after a couple gets married.  During this time, couples tend to dote on each other and look at the relationship through rose-colored glasses, and it seems like nothing could ever go wrong.  However, after a while reality starts to set in and many newlyweds are faced with the decision of where to move.  Whether it be for work, education, or just a change of scenery, there are many factors that go into a couple’s decision of where to plant their roots.  South Carolina, aka one of the most gorgeous states on the East Coast, has been a hotspot for newlyweds for years because of its beaches, beautiful scenery, and perfect weather.

Here are the Best South Carolina Towns for newlyweds

Charleston, SC

Charleston is one of the most amazing towns in South Carolina, and for good reason.  Charleston is full of history (it played a huge part in the civil war) and also has some of the coolest architecture in the state.  Known for its antebellum houses, Charleston real estate is in high demand by people who want to live in a fun, quirky southern town.

Hilton Head, SC

Hilton Head has long been a premier vacation destination in the south, but many people actually reside in Hilton Head year-round.  Hilton Head is one of those towns that make you feel like you’re on a permanent vacation, which is why so many people choose to live there.  Hilton Head also has some great points of interest, like the Harbour Town Lighthouse and the Salty Dog Cafe (my personal favorite spot)!

Little River, SC

Little River, named after the river that connects to the Atlantic Ocean between North and South Carolina, is the perfect quaint southern town.  Little River hosts an annual Blue Crab Festival every May, and the town’s close proximity to North Carolina makes Little River a popular settling place for newlyweds who want to have access to both states.  The quality of life and many community activities is what makes Little River such an ideal place to live!
