1st Week in Review – Training for a Marathon – 50K Ultramarathon Challenge

Training for the Marathon (with kids)

Training with kids is a necessary (evil). Which, in my opinion is actually inspirational.

training for the marathon - with kids

I won’t deny it, my kids, and family in general, think I’m nuts for doing this over the top race, when I have never done a race in my life.

But showing my kids to dream big and go for the big challenges is really what life is all about.

DAY 7 REST DAY AND FAMILY DAY – Rewarding Myself

rest day from marathon training - rewarding myself

I am proud of myself. I have done more in this one week than I have in over five months.

And a hard working week like this, and hard training week, my family and I headed to the beach.

Nothing is more important or enjoyable for me than being with my three men and puppy. And what better way to do it than chilling out on the beach, watching them learn to surf.

Resting my body before the following week of hard core training and pushing myself to bigger and better things.
