Day 2 – Training For a Marathon

Today I did 5.3 kilometers in 48.57 minutes

I’m now around nine minutes per kilometer, moving up in the world.

Training For a Marathon - strava

The speed walk I did took my from my house to my sons’ swimming classes, and it was like a danger obstacle course. There was a point in time where there was on shoulder and the crazy cars and buses were pummeling at me ready to throw me off the road.

But I made it!

I felt I could’ve done another 5 kilometers. But I have to pace myself. I’m almost 45 years old, and my knees suck.

But I was able to also inspire a friend of mine to start training. She still hasn’t committed to the race, but she’s started.

So, who else is joining me? It doesn’t have to be in Guatemala, it can be in your hometown.
