Traveling to NYC can get have a hefty price tag. There are tons of amazing things to do in NYC but you have to pay for a lot of them. Plus, if you are traveling with your family the numbers go up. That’s why it is always fun to find attractions you can visit for free.

7 Things to Do in NYC for Free:

1. Central Park – Central Park in New York for me is the best place to go to if you want to find attractions that can be enjoyed for free. You can spend a lot of time exploring the place and stay for a family picnic. During the summer you can find Summer Stage, concerts and Shakespeare in the Park. If you are there during the winter there are also fun activities like ice skating. No matter when you visit it I’m sure you will find something fun to do.

5. NYC public Library – The Public Library of New York is heaven for anyone who enjoys reading. They have around 53 million items. It is so big that it was named the third largest library in the world.

But you can go there and explore on your own without having to spend a cent. And in the summer there are free concerts by the main fountain.

7. Wall Street – This is the first home of the New York Stock Exchange. For some it might not sound exciting but for a trading junky like me it is iconic. Visiting Wall Street and looking at the buildings where many important financers used to be is very exciting.
