Colorful Central Markets of Antigua, Guatemala

If you were to ask what is the one thing to NOT-MISS while in Guatemala, I wouldn’t hesitate in a heart beat – Markets, markets, markets.

There is no shortage of markets here. My favorite is the local market which sells fruits, veggies and some handicrafts.

When is the best time to visit the markets?

Market days of course!

The market is open year round, but Monday, Thursday and Saturday is when it’s market day where a lot more comes to town.

NOTE: every town has different market days. Find out the schedule when in town.

There is so much produce, that you’d wish you can buy it all.

What’s a market without Tortillas.
