  1. Great ideas–those are some of our favorite things to do when volunteers travel to Guatemala to see our education projects in rural villages. We always end the week with time in beautiful Antigua!

These are all great. I highly recommend spending time at Hotel Santo Domingo. If there for Sunday, then by all means try to get a table for brunch. If not, however, walking through the grounds and ruins, walking through their art gallery, checking out the birds, and getting a small piece of chocolate or a hand crafted candle is well worth your time. I officially fell in love with Antigua at Santo Domingo for brunch 8 months ago and this last Sunday was just as serene and magical.

I’ve spent about 4 months in Guatemala, 5 years ago!
I so can understand why you chose to live there! * jealous* 😛

    Love your travel advice!
