What do you do while watching sunsets and sipping on tropical drinks, in a beach front restaurant, as you vacation in Belize? You eat, and eat well!
We stayed in Hopkins Village and had a chance to truly explore the area. Basically, it’s split up into two areas. One is close to the town, where you can access the tiny markets, police station and medical clinic. The second area is a little bit further away, with a special energy that it hard to put down in words.
Our venture here brought us to Beaches and Dreams Restaurant and hotel. Anthony, the owner, is also the main chef. He comes from Alaska where he and his wife, Angela, ran a restaurant of 120 tables and now brings his talents down really south.
This is what I thought of this beach front restaurant in Belize:
Coastal living invites coastal cuisine and we tried the tasty seafood dishes prepared just how we like it!
We had shrimp, grouper and smoked fish dishes accompanied by yummy tropical drinks!
While hanging out and watching the sun set, I also had a chance to tour the property.
It’s a small hotel with wooden cabins all beachfront and access to free kayaking. Great for a family gathering where the beaches run for miles with peaceful waters.
Thanks for the dinner Anthony and Angela.
