Getting Away with the Girls and (way too many) Kids

My girlfriends and I decided to take a trip together to Lake Atitlan. Traveling with kids at it’s finest! I found a lovely hotel, Posada de Santiago, comprised of cottages for all of us to have separate ones, but my house which was the biggest was where we congregated every day for all meals and fun.

The Girlfriend getaway consisted of 4 girlfriends, 2 nannies and 8 boys! Can you imagine what that was like!

The best part was that my hacienda had a huge front yard with a killer view. Plus, the pool was a big help. To some extent. What actually happened was the wind was so insane, the water was freezing and there was a tiny jacuzzi where the cauldron of kids heated up and stirred up chaos.

After 2 days, our men arrived which relieved our duties and let us totally do nothing. Which was the goal in the first place. But even though there were tons of boys, for some reason we never had a chance to simply sit and even watch a single movie!

We did take a tour of Santiago, with the kids, which was a treat in itself.

But all in all the most memorable moments were the amazing views, the constant hanging out with friends and being very happy to see the husbands!
