Montezuma is a small Costa Rican town where during the day you get to experience a laid-back ambiance and during the night enjoy a mellow hippie atmosphere. Because of that it attracts all sorts of travelers, especially artists, musicians, backpackers and eco-tourists. The most important thing about this town is that it keeps a small-town feel.

I love it because as a traveler you can still spend the day walking along a deserted beach with some amazing surf spots. This is a beautiful place framed by cliffs hidden in the forest and the Gulf of Nicoya where agile monkeys swing from tree to tree and colorful birds traverse the coast line.
As if that wasn’t enough Montezuma also offers great restaurants, trendy bars and many hotels and beachside cabins to choose from.
