3. Taking your spouse’s name in your honeymoon? I know you will be anxious to do so but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re taking a delayed honeymoon. That is because you won’t be able to amend your passport, driver’s license, etc., until after you’ve returned from your honeymoon. It can be a real nightmare in airports and even with your reservations. The reason? If you haven’t changed your name legally it means that the name you are using doesn’t exist and if your name doesn’t legally exist you won’t exist. So stick to your maiden name until you get back home.
