The islets of Granada are located in the Nicaragua Lake, really close to Granada. The islets are a group of 365 small islands that were formed by the explosion of most of the cone of the Mombacho volcano thousands of years ago. Some of them are privately owned and host gorgeous mansions, hotels with great views and shops. The best thing to do around them is to take a relaxing boat tour to the fort of San Pablo which was used to protect Granada from Pirates in the 18th century.
