Coban is a beautiful town located in the Alta Verapaz Department of Guatemala & the most important one of the region. It has been known among locals as “Ciudad Imperial” since 1538.

This is the gateway for travelers to see some of Guatemala’s best eco and adventure destinations and activities such as the huge cave compound of Lanquin & the gorgeous turquoise natural pools of Semuc Champey.

The forests around this town are filled with many species of orchids, including the Monja Blanca (the country’s national flower). Coban town is also surrounded by many coffee plantations. You can visit some of them to learn about the country’s best coffee.
