Antigua, Guatemala is a beautiful colonial city located in a valley in the middle of 3 volcanoes. Each and every building & corner of this place has tons of stories to tell and provides great photo opportunities. Here you will find hotels for any kind of budget, as well as bars, restaurants that offer local dishes, international cuisine and even some fast food chains. It is only 10 blocks square but it hosts all the services you might need (banks, ATM, hospitals, super markets, a huge farmer’s market).

This used to be Guatemala’s former capital until earthquakes destroyed it and the government decided to move it to where the actual Guatemala City is now. Just a few families stayed and started its restoration. However, you can still see what the earthquakes did on some old churches that were never restored and can now be visited by travelers and locals.

Aside from being a great place to be explored on foot or on a horse carriage it is known for its salsa classes, Spanish schools and fun night life.
