Fun Info Irazu Volcano
Irazu Volcano is an attraction in Costa Rica’s Central Valley that you can’t miss. This is the country’s highest volcano and is known as the ‘colossus’ by locals because of its huge eruptions from the past.
It is a great day trip, but make sure to get there early because there is a time during the morning when you can stand at the top of the volcano and see both oceans on each side. Then as you look down you get to see the mineral lake inside the active volcano before the clouds cover it.
