What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a Belize Beach Hotel?

For me it is:

• Thatched Roofs
• Private Wooden Cabins
• White Sanded Beaches
• Palm Trees
• Isolation

During our first part of the trip, even though our hotels were amazing, we never actually saw this vision until we arrived to the Green Parrot Beach Houses and Cabanas for breakfast.

Maya Beach, which is the upper portion of Placencia area, is known for romantic honeymoon getaways, serenity, incredible sunrises and most of all privacy. This was exactly what I found here!

Leo, the jovial manager, greeted my family and I as we arrived for breakfast for our quick escape from the town of Placencia, for a more secluded experience.

While we waited for our traditional Belize style breakfast to come out, Leo showed me around as my kids had a blast on the dock and in the sand.

The property holds eight private cabins that are fully covered by leaves and palm trees so it feels as though you are the only ones on a deserted island.

The white sanded beach is so inviting and you can take a kayak out, free of service, for a smooth Caribbean sea ride.

The resort is located about 15 minutes from Placencia, you can either get here by car or they will provide you with all the transportation you need.

Our breakfast finally arrived and it was huge! And I have to say, this was our best breakfast experience and we were sad to leave.
