ARCAS rescue center for trafficked and endangered animals is one of the most unique places in Guatemala. Located near Tikal and Flores, this center is all about helping the parrots and other exotic birds that are crossed over the borders illegally. Most of them die, but the ones that manage to survive are in good hands. But you can also find jaguars, wild cats, monkeys and other animals that were hurt in the wild mainly by hunters and poachers.
