Central America Map – Review – Nelles Verlag
Preparation for any trip always starts with a map. At least in our house. My husband is a bit of a Map junkie. He first needs to get his coordinates ready to go and then upload them into his GPS. For me, I prefer the old fashioned way – a physical map in my hand the whole time. Coordinates and Google Earth is great, but I’m just not that savvy when it comes to these things!

Funny enough, during our drive to El Salvador from Guatemala we had an unexpected detour due to a bridge collapsing mid way. My husband didn’t put in the points into his handy – dandy GPS and we were a bit stuck. That’s when he was grateful I brought our Central America Map by Nelles Verlag.

Benefits of using our Central American Map:
Our vacation was in El Salvador, when we reached the point of the detour we really didn’t have a good sense of where to go or how much longer the actual road was. The map definitely helped us get oriented.
Things to Consider:
We were able to figure out which way to go, but our town wasn’t on the map. It was more of a general vicinity and we were going to a fairly popular town.
My Take On It:
I loved having a physical map with us on our 5 hour road trip. It helped me check off the towns as we zipped by them. It also helped to figure out which way to go and prevented us from getting super lost. I would have preferred to see the town we were going to, to give us more of an accurate Kilometer count. But it got us where we needed to go!

Thank you, Susanne Geretzhuber, it was great having the map as a guide! All of my opinions are always my own.
