Living in Antigua, Guatemala has taught us one thing about outings with a baby – strollers are just not going to work for us. The cobblestones, which make this town so gorgeous, are horrible on even the best jogger strollers. Luckily for us, there are some amazing backpack carriers to work with.

Searching online I found a Kokopax which had all the requirements I was looking for in a carrier: small, efficient and comfortable for the child. The Baby carrier I received was the eco-classic line. Some of the features that immediately attracted me to it were:

I have to say it was all that they showcased. Super light weight, it fits into our little car with plenty of room to spare. My son lives for it. Since he’s at our eye level he feels like he is as big as we are and due to the hip strap and the ease of putting him in and out of it, it’s one of the best accessories and at this point a NEEDED one for us.

Plus, the kickstand works wonders if he falls asleep, we just take him off, open the stand and he’s napping while we’re chilling.

This doesn’t only go for out of the house usage, we carry him around the house too.

Another wonderful thing about living in Antigua is I have a full time maid. Now she’s addicted to it and while doing all her daily chores my son hangs out in the back ‘helping’ her out.

I really recommend this carrier no matter where you live and if you’re used a stroller. Simply having your child on your back makes them more part of the action and less things for you to push around.
