El Salvador is a country famous for its beaches and surfing is the thing to do in this small country. These are lots of places that offer surf tours along the coast. But if you are not a surfer there are also tons of places where you can learn how to surf. Here surfers can find the perfect waves, sunny warm beaches and friendly locals without spending a fortune.

Keep on exploring your options in the beaches of El Salvador.

Beaches like Sunzal and Tunco are great places for beginners year round. But the best season to surf in this country is: between March and October.

In our visit to El Salvador we found some places that offered surf lessons for adults and for kids. We spent a whole afternoon in playa Tunco while my older son and my husband learned how to surf. They both had a lot of fun.

The instructor was very good and had a great way of dealing with kids. This is definitely a thing worth experiencing in El Salvador, anyone can do it. But always remember to hire an instructor if it’s your first surfing experience, the classes are really cheap and you will be a lot safer.
