Travel Experta’s Pick of the Week – Insect Shield Purdom Hiker Socks by Exofficio

I was searching the internet for some products that might be useful for my upcoming trips when I ran into these eco-friendly socks that said they worked as bug repellent too. As you can imagine I got really curious about them so I got them.

To start let me tell you want the descriptions of the company that sells them says: These eco-friendly socks are made with recycled polyester and repel insects for itch-free ankles and happy hiking.

The first thing I noticed about them that I loved is that they are made of 40% recycled material. Also according to my husband they are comfortable, they even include arch support. I really don’t get how these socks have insect repellent but so far they have kept my hubby’s feet free from bugs after testing them by hiking through the forest. He has also worn them as regular every day socks for some time and they are still in very good conditions.

My conclusion is that they are great for hiking tours along the forest or anywhere for that mater, therefore travelers might find them really useful.
