The town of Suchitoto El Salvador is a small, relaxed colonial place. It is a popular destination for locals because of its handcrafts, cultural activities and nearby lake. If you are thinking about spending a weekend here there are many hotels in the area that you can check out. Here is one of them:
Las Puertas de Suchitoto is a small hotel in the center of the Colonial town of Suchitoto, El Salvador. It is located in what used to be a house in the early XIX century. Because of its location you will be close to restaurants and shops buy you won’t have the amazing lake views that other hotels of the area offer.
Take a look at tons of fun things to do in El Salvador.
What it does have are beautifully decorated rooms and spacious bathrooms. There is also a restaurant where they offer tasty food.
I would say that this is a great hotel for couples not families because they don’t have a pool and they are not very kid friendly.
Here’s what people have to say about them and if you don’t believe them, I dare you to try it!
The staff were very friendly and the location is great. The room was charming with a lovely balcony, well-organized bathroom, and comfortable beds. All in all I would give this hotel a very high rating.

During our two week trip to El Salvador- this hotel and this town were the highlight! The hotel rooms are beautiful, the staff great, and the location is fantastic (unless you need a very quiet place).
The location is right on the main square, and this is the type of town you can fall in love with. Other hotels around town have swimming pools and a couple have views of the lake, but all things considered we were happy we chose Las Puertas.
As the town and hotel were very quiet on New Year’s Eve, the chef brought us (a few of the hotel patron’s sitting outside) a bottle of champagne! We stayed for four nights and will definitely go back!
