Our trip was wonderful:)

The weather for our trip was great. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of rain that we had.

The driver was waiting at the airport as expected. And he drove us to the Nayara, which was Heaven!! Plus, the food at the Nayara was excellent.

On the 3rd day we did the rafting trip. That was the highlight of our trip. Our guide for the ride to the center from La Fortuna was Ricky. And we loved him. We were very happy that he liked us too and arranged for us to be on his raft. Ricky had complete control of the raft and knew the river like the back of his hand. River rafting was so much fun but I really feel that Ricky is what made that the highlight of our trip.

Then we went to Banana Azul. I definitely got what I expected there. Roberto was so nice. He saw us in town one day and offered us a ride back. And that air conditioned drive was great. I was happy that I got him to go snorkeling at Cahuita National Park. Our guide and some others saw a Manatee. Apparently very rare for there.

Casa Bella Rita was a perfect place to end our trip. I actually took a nap that day, but that is when I started getting sick. They made us dinner that night. And that was the best non-typical Costa Rican dish we had there. And they made cake that may have been the best cake ever. The next morning breakfast was wonderful, exactly what we needed before our very long trip back home. I keep thinking of the chicken sausage they served that morning, it was delicious. Steve and Rita were a pleasure to meet and spend our last meals with.
