Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo is a beautiful colonials style hotel located in what used to be called La Casa de los Leones (house of lions) in Antigua‘s most famous street, The Street of Arc. The house was restored in 1968 and 1971 after the earthquakes and made what it is now. This hotel offers the best service I ever had in a Hotel and a fantastic child care service.

Our room was beautiful and by the garden. It had a beautiful fireplace, a hammock outside the door and a beautiful decoration. The atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing, the gardens so well taken care of that it made me want to go out and sit there with a good book.

You can choose the room you prefer as long as it’s available without it being a problem for the staff. Plus live marimba music is playing every day. Plus you have to visit the terrace, they have amazing Agua Volcano views.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for romantic getaways or honeymoons but as I said before kids are more than welcome.
