Carnaval as the Costa Rican pronounce it is an annual event held every October and was celebrated in Limon, Costa Rica in honor of the arrival of Christopher Columbus. It was a unique Tico celebration for Culture Day as it lasts for two weeks and was really a big celebration in the region and people are wearing colorful dresses while dancing in the street to tropical rhythms much more like a “Mardi Gras” to a Caribbean beat.
