Weekly Travel Tip: Road Trip # 1
Because traveling in Central America is very different than traveling in any other part of the world here is the first of a series of travel tips for those planning a road trip.
This is a great and very important tip that a friend gave. I know that it might pretty obvious but we tend to just hop on the car and start our trip. So what I have to say this week is:
Central America is not the best place to just pull over and wait for someone to help you out with your car for two reasons: As friendly as people is in these countries almost no one stops to help people on the side of the road because it’s a quite common trick used by kidnapers and if someone does stop unless you speak Spanish no one will understand what you are trying to say. Plus I know that you don’t want to spend extra money and time in an unknown town waiting for your car to be fixed.
So take some time to check the engine of your car and make sure it is ok before you go on a road trip.
