Spotlight Costa Rica – Hotel & Resort Arenal Paraiso in Arenal

Arenal is one of Costa Rica’s most famous travel destinations. The area is filled with lots of fun things to do. But the main attraction is the active and beautiful Arenal Volcano. Really close to the volcano is a beautiful Hotel & Resort called Arenal Paraiso.

This is a truly amazing place with 14 swimming pools 13 of which are naturally heated hot springs. what coud be better that relaxing after a day of adventure in Arenal. There is also a gym, 2 saunas, a spa, 2 restaurants and a souvenir shop.

The place is beautiful, the decoration and the ambiance are perfect. The rooms are very spacious but above all clean. The best thing is that all of the rooms have beautiful Arenal Volcano views. The staff is very friendly, they are always willing to help and make you feel as comfortable possible.

We arrived at this hotel in the middle of the night, while it was raining, so we had no idea what our surroundings looked like. I woke up in the morning, pulled back the curtains and was staring at a smoking volcano!! It was unbelievably beautiful. Our cabin was spacious, clean, and neat, but you are surrounded by nature, so if you leave the door open, expect some creepy crawlies to enter. Our TV was kind of fuzzy, but we barely spent time in our room so it didn’t matter (funny: we actually got local New York news on it!). Breakfast each morning was nice (huevos rancheros, rice and beans, platains, etc) and always complete with great great coffee. They have their own hot springs on site, so you don’t have to go off site and pay for it. There are all sorts of hidden pools, and it’s a great way to relax. Service is good, with tons of activities that you can book through the hotel, including white water rafting, zip lining, hiking and it’s all pretty reasonably priced.

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted extremely friendly staff members. Our room was centrally located, near the pool, restaurant, and hot springs. The view of the volcano from our hotel room was AMAZING!

Best–Natural Hot Springs! We weren’t sure about it at first, because the water was dark colored. But once the staff informed us that this was due to the nutrients, we were game. After that, you could not pull us out of the springs. Varying temperatures to your liking, and gorgeous views of the volcano. If you go at night, it’s a little scary because there’s not much lighting, but completely safe and well worth the experience.
