So despite a difficult ‘start’ with our passport problem, we managed to meet-up with the other half of the family with a cab, as you know, and started the Canopy tour the following day = absolutely wonderful, one of our best moment of fun! My three girls were quite scared but loved it so much, and Sky Trek are a very professional and nice company to work with.
Los Pinos hotel was really nice, and the staff was great too.

After we drove up to Monteverde and had the good surprise of a night bath in the hot springs, another great family moment. And Los Lagos is really good for kids with many water slides, a pool-bar, an excellent breakfast buffet and a super view over the Volcano.

After we drove to la Fortuna and started the waterfall hike – we even swam in the river, good fun !
After the morning session at Observatory we left to Uvita, a long but very nice drive and ended-up in Mar y Selva where we spent four peaceful nights in our bungalow. We did a whale watching (but didn’t see the whales), snorkling, beaches and had great fun viewing the monkeys and Toucans in the hotel.

We didn’t follow your advice and went through the hotel to book the Whale watch Tour (their price per person was $85 and half price for kids so we thought, as the price was pretty similar, that it was easier to go through them). But on the final bill they charged us the tour price + 13% + 10% taxes… and we didn’t really like this as I guess going direct through your company we would have paid the $85 dollars and that would have been it ! Always listen to the guide !).

After our last night we left to Manuel Antonio that we wanted to visit before going to Casa Bella Rita but had to change the itinerary because MA was closed on Monday (our mistake) but we spend the full day on the great beach of MA, had excellent restaurants so it was a great day anyway. The following day we went to the park – stunning – saw many monkeys, sloth, etc and we also did loads of snorkeling.

Before leaving to the airport we went to La Paz waterfalls were we had a good summary of the CR wild life…
We left on-time with so many images in our heads that our future nights will be full of Costa Rican dreams !

So this is it, thanks again for such a great trip planning ! We have done so many things in 10 days that we never did before in our entire life ! This country is just amazing ! We were so lucky we found you.
